Settling of particles at the bottom of the vessel in case of paddle, or left over in case of basket, is reflection of poor product/medium interaction resulting in inefficient or slower dissolution. These are artefacts of the paddle and basket apparatuses. Therefore, one should expect slower dissolution rate, reduced extent (e.g. 80%), and highly variable results using these apparatuses.
